Organic Skincare
Your skin and hair are what people notice first when they look at you. When you are young, your skin looks smooth, radiant, and firm. This is mainly due to key proteins and molecules in the skin – collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Collagen and elastin provide the skin with firmness and elasticity, while hyaluronic acid keeps the skin hydrated and resilient. In your mid-late 20’s, you slowly start to lose collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
There are several factors that come into play. The presence of free radicals (unstable molecules) and inflammation play an important role in the process of dermal aging, as it can cause breakdown of these skin components. Your skin will slowly become dull, dry, thin and will start to sag. Smoking, sun exposure, pollution, poor diet and certain chemicals can contribute to the production of free radical formation and the aging process.
While it’s not possible to stop the aging process, you can certainly take steps to preserve a youthful appearance. Avoiding smoking, using broad-spectrum sun protection, exercise, getting enough fresh air and maintaining a proper diet are extremely important. Also important is avoiding synthetic chemicals that may be harmful to your skin. There are many botanicals in nature that contain high levels of vitamins, fatty acids, antioxidants and anti- inflammatory substances that are a much healthier alternative to synthetic compounds.

Preventing Crow’s Feet And Eyelid Wrinkles
One of the primary causes of crow’s feet and wrinkles is frequent contraction of the facial muscles, such as squinting. Sunlight and very bright lights in a room or on a monitor can cause squinting, as can eyestrain from declining vision and reading without eyeglasses or contacts.
• Avoid squinting and straining your eyes find wearing sunglasses or a hat on sunny days.
• If you find it increasingly difficult to read small print, then have your vision checked to see if you need reading glasses.
• Do not use ultra-bright settings on your smart devices.
• Avoid rubbing your eyes and avoid pulling at your eyelids to apply eyeliner or mascara.
• Use skincare products at least twice daily around the eyes that are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, humectants (moisture preserving) and ingredients that stimulate collagen production.
How meditation can help your skin and hair.
Stress can cause high levels of cortisol in our bodies. High cortisol levels lead to skin problems, such as acne and hair loss. Meditating is an effective way of reducing stress. There are many meditation apps available or simply close your eyes in a quiet place and focus on slowly breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth for 15 to 20 minutes a day.
Why sleep is so important to maintain youthful looking skin:
Studies have shown that chronic poor sleep quality is associated with increased signs of intrinsic aging, diminished skin barrier function and lower satisfaction with appearance. Try to get as much sleep as possible each night. If you have trouble staying asleep, consider meditation, avoid caffeine in the evening and consider a gentle over-the counter sleep aid, like melatonin.
What’s the antiaging magic behind Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and why should it be in your skin care routine?
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance in our body. HA also has a vegan form. It has a unique ability to retain water – up 1,000 times its weight – making it one of the most powerful humectants that is used in cosmetics and in clinical settings. It is a common ingredient in injectable fillers and is also found in high-end skin care products. As we get older, our skin tends to lose water content, which contributes to dull, dry, saggy looking skin and wrinkles become more obvious.
Regular use of HA in your skin care routine, particularly very small molecular weight HA, can help your skin retain moisture and help make your skin look plump and more youthful. Our, Everything HA Face and Eye Serum – soon to be released this fall – uses vegan, very small molecular weight HA among and key antiaging ingredients all in one serum. Why Use An Organic Face Oil?
High-quality organic plant oils can deliver moisturizing, anti-aging fatty acids & vitamins to the skin in a way that synthetic moisturizers cannot. Some plant oils also stimulate collagen production. Your skin can look more radiant and hydrated. Fine lines and wrinkles can diminish and can even skin tone. Our Fresh Face Night Serum is loaded with natural antioxidants and natural sources of Vit A, B, C and D.
Formulated With Sensitive Skin in Mind
Those with sensitive skin are typically encouraged to learn more about the ingredients in their skincare products so they can become more knowledgeable about which ones are safe for their skin and which will cause negative reactions. Some more common offenders include artificial dyes, synthetic fragrances, synthetic preservatives, and other filler ingredients that are known to cause irritation and inflammation.
This is why we often see individuals look to organic skincare for sensitive skin as a way to confidently maintain a consistent routine. You want products you can trust, down to the last ingredient, to treat your skin well and keep it healthy. Natural, organic ingredients like the ones we use in all our products tend to be more gentle and safe on sensitive skin, while still getting you the results you want.
